Day Three: Who am I?

Today we went to the Bishop Museum and got to see some of the different artifacts of the Hawaiian culture.  There were some really neat displays. I really liked this painting:

And as you might have guessed from the title of this post, I am trying to decipher who I am.  Here are some thoughts:

I'm a graphic designing, engineer translating, document designing, Alaska grown girl. I cook. Play the piano. Occasionally mow lawns, hike. Watch TV. I am a graduate of Cedarville University with a Bachelor of Arts in Technical and Professional Communication. An American. The daughter of M. and S. Beachy. A granddaughter. A cousin. A sibling.

I like sunsets, but don't like sunrises, because that means I am up way too early. I like ice cream. I don't like tomatoes or mushrooms. So what do all of these things mean? How do they make me who I am? This is all a learning process for me, so I am thinking as I write. I guess it just means that I am influenced by many different things, people, places. Things that have happened to me, how I was taught.  What I believe.

So--there you have it. That is me. In a nutshell.  I am also sarcastic, and have a strange sense of humor. I am not outgoing. I like to write. I think that I know who I am, but at the same time, I am always changing, learning, and growing. If someone was to ask me who I am, I'm not sure I would have a very concrete answer. Right now I am a graduate with no job, and with no idea of what I am doing. I am influenced by the people and the places that I live.

And, just 'cause I want to--here are a few pictures that I took today. They aren't the best, but then, I never claimed to be a great photographer!

You are a daughter of Christ! :) And that means that you are a lover of those who need to be loved, an admirer of beauty, and a worshipper of the mighty one. How's that for a definition of who you are? Tastes, habits, and opinions may change, but that will always stay the same.

That is a good definition.
