So, Here's What You Missed...

I have now been in Alaska for over a week. I flew up last Friday and spent a couple of days at the Schroeder's in Anchorage. Then, having decided that Hagar their mangy, incorrigible mutt was a little too high-maintenance for me, I made my way to Victory, where I have been holed up ever since.

I also got a new phone, and am officially out of what I refer to as my cell phone 'Stone Age'. After four years it was time for an upgrade. So now I spend an inordinate amount of my time on the stupid thing. And while I am not furiously reading through an 800+ page book (read in less than two days) I shovel through two plus feet of snow and take walks in 7 degree weather. I love Alaska.

Now it is almost Christmas, so some family traditions ensue--our annual movie night watching It's a Wonderful Life. And I was going to make cinnamon rolls for a Christmas Eve breakfast but couldn't quite find the motivation--I blame it on the cold and dark days. So, instead, I made scones.

So, that about sums up the last week of my existence. Of course I didn't mention everything, or this would be a long, boring epistle about my life, which none of you really want to hear. I like to keep it short and simple and hopefully, not too boring! Perhaps, if there is anything interesting to write about later, I'll drop a line or two, but for now, adieu.
