"These are a few of my Favorite Things..."

This week has been fairly hum drum. Nothing too exciting. Nothing too unexciting. I think I need some inspiration. Some new music or a new country to add to my 'someday I am going to visit' list. I need a bucket list. Maybe I'll do that over spring break. I prefer to not ramble about useless information so I'll keep this post short. I read/follow a lot of blogs and I am semi-copying the idea of one of them. I want to start adding a segment to my posts about music, movies, clothes, whatever it may be that I find/want to share. 1. I am really enjoying this TV show. I am up to the current season now (season 6). 2. I would love to own this soundtrack. The music is so poignant and absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately, it is no longer in production and is ridiculously expensive, even on Amazon. So, that's all for this Friday, but hopefully I will update again next week on my first day of break!

I am Having Some Serious Writers Block....

....but the good news is, I might have enough writing left in me to eek out a post. I am taking an Advanced Fiction class this semester, and I have realized that trying to be creative in an academic setting is not as easy as you might think. I am learning a lot of great stuff about writing good scenes. I am reading 'The Scene Book, A Primer for the Fiction Writer'. It's a really great book and it has lots of very helpful information. Right now I am trying to find inspiration. I have a great idea, lots of good material, I just can't seem to be able to find a way of piecing it together (ok, so, maybe it's not a 'great' idea, but one thing I am learning is that, if I am not interested in the subject I shouldn't bother to write about it)...basically, I shouldn't write something because I think it's what people want to read. Which is good advice. So. Time for randomness. I am really liking these pumps from Payless and this dress from Target as w...

This is the Refrain of an Old Song...

It's been a while since I last posted. I attribute it to a dull life. Actually, it's more the busywork of life right now. Classes are not particularly difficult--yet. More just filled with assignments and discussions. Since my creative juices are rather spent at the moment, I'll leave you with this thought--what would have happened if Germany had won World War II? Also, a couple of recipes for some brownies that look amazing from the blog Bake or Break. I wish I had access to a kitchen!  Peanut Butter Mud Bars Picture from Bake or Break black-bottom-brownies
