Incandescence

I spent my Fall Break sniffling and sneezing. I didn't have a cold, though, just allergies. But, despite the ickiness I felt, I was able to walk around some and get a few shots from around my grandpa's farm. I wanted to post a picture of Marshall the bull (he has lopsided horns, one goes up the other down), but I couldn't find my pictures of him. I'll have to do that for my next post. So, for now enjoy a look at fall in Indiana.

Just a few shots I took down at the Matanuska River.

At the risk of sounding cliche and trite, I often lack motivation. Mentally I might want to go out and do something, but a part of me enjoys sitting with my laptop perusing the internet. Or more often, I read. I love books, and I love re-reading old favorites. I try to read a few classics as well, I read Ivanhoe, and thought it was relatively good. Well written--yes. Worth my time? I'm not sure. Probably. Books are my friend--I love it when the pages are supple and slightly worn. The smell of a book, even the smooth cover have a certain motivation for me. To read as much as I can. That is one of my motivations.
