Incandescence

Soo...I don't feel like writing anything right now. I'm sticking poetry on until I get around to writing something worth reading!

Bowls of milk clutched in their small hands, Bright colored ponchos and mud boots, Old backpacks or homemade bags to hold their books, smiles on their faces. At recess they make a train and run around the soccer field, Smiling, laughing as they run around. At lunch the children crowd around us, Quickly they eat their lunch of soup and then the older boys play soccer. Curious eyes watch as we cook lunch, We are their entertainment for the week. You say something to them in Spanish, they all laugh you try again; hoping this time you’ll get it right. -Rachel Beachy
